Conversion of Sentences ( part -1 )

हेलो फ्रेंड्स स्वागत है आप सभी का आपके अपने ब्लॉग भी आज की पोस्ट में हम कक्षा 10 के एक बहुत ही महत्वपूर्ण टॉपिक Conversion of Sentences को पढ़ेंगे जिसमें हम affirmative sentences को negative sentences मे बदलना सीखेंगे......... 

 फ्रेंड्स कुछ नियमों का अनुसरण करके हम affirmative sentences को negative sentences में बहुत ही आसानी से बदल सकते हैं...... 

Rule no. 1. 

{First form+ s/es ➡ does not + first form}

Note:- यदि वाक्य में subject के बाद first form + s/es आये तो उसको हटाकर does not + first form कर देते हैं

Examples:-

Aff ➡ He goes to school. 

Neg ➡ He does not go to school. 

Aff ➡ The mother reads the Ramayana. 

Neg ➡ The mother does not read the Ramayana. 

Aff ➡ She cooks food. 

Neg ➡ She does not cook food. 

Aff ➡ My brother writes a letter. 

Neg ➡ My brother does not write a letter. 

Rule no. 2. 

 { First form ➡ do not + first form }

Note:- यदि वाक्य में subject के बाद first form आये  तो उसको हटाकर do not + first form कर देते हैं 

Examples:-

Aff ➡ I play chess. 

Neg ➡ I do not play chess. 

Aff ➡ Birds fly in the sky. 

Neg ➡ Birds do not fly in the sky. 

Aff ➡ We get up early in the morning. 

Neg ➡ We do not get up early in the morning. 

Aff ➡ You wear shoes. 

Neg ➡ You do not wear shoes. 

Rule no. 3. 

{ Second form ➡ did not + first form }

Note:- यदि वाक्य में subject के बाद second form आये  तो उसको हटाकर did not + first form कर देते हैं 

Examples:-

Aff ➡ He ate a mango. 

Neg ➡ He did not eat a mango. 

Aff ➡ I bought a pen. 

Neg ➡ I did not buy a pen. 

Aff ➡ We played match yesterday.

Neg ➡ We did not play match yesterday. 

Aff ➡ My sister called me in the evening. 

Neg ➡ My sister did not call me in the evening. 

Rule no. 4. 

{Helping verb ➡ helping verb + not }

Note:- यदि वाक्य में subject के बाद Helping verb (is/ am/ are, was/ were, has/ have/ had) आये  तो helping verb (is/ am/ are, was/ were, has/ have/ had/ will / shall) के बाद

not लगाा देते हैं

Is ➡ is not

Am ➡ am not

Are ➡ are not

Was ➡ was not

Were ➡were not

Has➡ has not

Have➡ have not

Had➡ had not

Will➡ will not

Shall➡ shall not

Examples:-

Aff ➡ I am working hard. 

Neg ➡ I am not working hard. 

Aff ➡ we are running on the road. 

Neg ➡ we are not running on the road. 

Aff ➡ she is singing a song. 

Neg ➡ she is not singing a song. 

Aff ➡ I was calling you. 

Neg ➡ I was not calling you. 

Aff ➡ I have learnt English. 

Neg ➡ I have not learnt English. 

Aff ➡ he has gone to delhi. 

Neg ➡ he has not gone to delhi. 

Aff ➡ they had reached there before he died. 

Neg ➡ they had not reached there before he died. 

Rule no. 5. 

Has been ➡has not been

Have been ➡ have not been

Had been ➡ had not been

Note :-  यदि subject के बाद has been/ have been/ had been आता है तो has not been/ have not been / had not been  कर देते हैं

Aff ➡ I have been learning English for five years. 

Neg ➡ I have not been learning English for five years. 

Aff ➡ he has been working here since morning. 

Neg ➡ he has not been working here since morning. 

Aff ➡ they had been waiting for you for half an hour. 

Neg ➡ they had not been waiting for you for half an hour. 

Rule no. 6. 

Will have ➡will not have

Shall have ➡shall not have

Will have been ➡will not have been

Shall have been➡ shall not have been

Note :-  यदि subject के बाद will have/ shall have /will have been/ shall have been आता है तो will not have/ shall not have/ will not have been/ shall not have been  कर देते हैं

Examples:-

 Aff ➡ He will have passed the exam. 

Neg ➡He will not have passed the exam. 

Aff ➡ We shall have won the match by tomorrow

Neg ➡We shall not have won the match by tomorrow. 

Aff ➡He will have been working here  for 3 hours. 

Neg ➡He will not have been working here for 3 hours. 

Aff ➡I shall have been eating food for 10 minutes. 

Neg ➡I shall not have been eating food for 10 minutes. 

Rule no. 7. 

Modal verb ➡ modal verb + not

Can➡ cannot

Could➡ could not 

May➡ may not 

Might➡ might not 

Would ➡would not

Should➡ should not

Must ➡must not

Ought➡ ought not

Will ➡will not

Shall➡ shall not

Examples:-

Aff ➡I can do this

Neg ➡I cannot do this. 

Aff ➡You could go there. 

Neg ➡You could not go there. 

Aff ➡It may rain today. 

Neg ➡It may not rain today. 

Aff ➡I would kill you. 

Neg ➡I would not kill you. 

Aff ➡You should learn English. 

Neg ➡You should not learn English. 

Aff ➡I must punish him. 

Neg ➡I must not punish him. 

Aff ➡I shall write a letter. 

Neg ➡I shall not write a letter. 

Aff ➡You will beat me. 

Neg ➡You will not beat me. 

Note:- यदि इन सभी के साथ be लगा हुआ है तो be को not के बाद लिखते हैं

Examples:-

Aff ➡ he will be playing chess. 

Neg ➡ he will not be playing chess. 

Aff ➡ he must be forty now. 

Neg ➡ he must not be forty now.

Helping verbs ➡ is/ am/ are, was/ were, has/ have/ had etc. 

Modal verbs ➡ can, could, may, might, would, should, ought, must, will, shall etc.

Rule no.8.  यदि दिया गया वाक्य imperative है अर्थात उसमें subject नहीं है और वह first form से प्रारंभ हो रहा है तो first form से पहले do not या don't लगा देते हैं.... 

First form ➡ do not + first form

Examples:-

Aff ➡ go there. 

Neg ➡ do not go there. 

Aff ➡ please come here. 

Neg ➡ please do not come here. 

Aff ➡ write an essay. 

Neg ➡ do not write an essay. 

Aff ➡ please let him go. 

Neg ➡ please don't let him go. 

Rule no. 9. As soon as को no sooner... Than में बदल कर. .. 

{ no sooner + did + subject + first form + object+ than + second sentence}

Examples:-

Aff ➡ as soon as the crow opened its mouth, the piece of bread fell down. 

Neg ➡ no sooner did the crow open its mouth than the piece of bread fell down. 

Aff ➡ as soon as I asked him this question, he began to scold me. 

Neg ➡ no sooner did I ask him this question than he began to scold me. 

Rule no. 10. यदि वाक्य में only / alone दिया गया है तो उसे हटा देते हैं तथा वाक्य को इस प्रकार बनाते हैं.. . . 

{ none but + बचा हुआ वाक्य }

Examples:- 

Aff ➡ only I can do this. 

Neg ➡ none but I can do this. 

Aff ➡ he alone won the first prize. 

Neg ➡ none but he won the first prize.
