Active and Passive Voice (Part -2)

Friends, in this post, we will learn rules of changing active voice to passive voice with Hindi translation.... 

Active Voice से Passive Voice में बदलने के लिये निम्नलिखित पाँच steps को follow करें.... 

1. Active voice के object को subject बनाओ। 

2. New subject के अनुसार Helping Verb लगाओ। 

3. Verb की 3rd form का प्रयोग करो। 

4. New object के पहले by लगाओ। 

5. Active Voice के subject को object बनाओ। 

👉 { new subject + H.V + 3rd form + by + new object }

Subject को object और object को subject बनाना.... 

Subject↔ Object

I  ↔ me

We ↔ us

You ↔ you

They ↔ them

He ↔ him

She ↔ her

It ↔ it

Singular Noun ↔ Singular Noun

Plural Noun ↔ Plural Noun

Note:- फ्रेंड्स ऊपर दिए गए पांचो  steps को फॉलो करके हम बहुत ही आसानी से किसी भी sentence को active से passive में बदल सकते हैं परंतु इसके लिए हमें हर tense की helping verb पता होनी चाहिए यदि हम को हर tense की पहचान और passive voice में प्रयोग होने वाली helping verb के बारे में पता चल जाए तो हम इन सभी पांचों steps को फॉलो करके किसी भी वाक्य को passive में बदल सकते हैं। आपकी सरलता के लिए हमने नीचे सभी  tenses की पहचान और उसकी helping verb दे दी है तथा हर tense का passive का एक structure भी लिख दिया है। वैसे तो हम यदि प्रत्येक tense को पहचान ले और यह जान जाए की इस tense में कौन सी helping verb Passive Voice में प्रयोग की जाएगी तो हम ऊपर दिए हुए पांचों steps को फॉलो करके किसी sentence को passive में बदल सकते हैं परंतु आपकी सरलता के लिए मैंने structure भी उपलब्ध करा दिया है। 

Rule no. 1. Present indefinite tense 

Identification ➡ 1st form/ 1st form + s/es या do/does + first form

H. V ( in passive voice) ➡ is/ am/ are

👉  { new subject + is/ am/ are + 3rd form + by + new object }

Examples:-

1. He writes a letter. (AV) 

वह एक पत्र लिखता है। 

A letter is written by him. (PV) 

एक पत्र उसके द्वारा लिखा जाता है। 

2. Boys play match. (AV) 

 लड़के मैच खेलते हैं। 

Match is played by boys. (PV) 

मैच लड़कों के द्वारा खेला जाता है। 

3. We learn English. (AV) 

हम अंग्रेजी सीखते हैं। 

English is learnt by us. (PV) 

अंग्रेजी हमारे द्वारा सीखी जाती है। 

4. She washes clothes. ( AV) 

वह कपड़े धोती है। 

Clothes are washed by us. (PV) 

 कपड़े उसके द्वारा धोए जाते हैं। 

Rule no. 2. Past indefinite tense

Identification ➡ 2nd form/ did + first form

H. V. ( in passive voice) ➡ was/ were

👉 { new subject + H. V + 3rd form + by + new object }

Examples:-

1. We bought some vegetables. (AV) 

👉 हमने कुछ सब्जियां खरीदी। 

Some vegetables were bought by us. ( PV) 

👉कुछ सब्जियां हमारे द्वारा खरीदी गई। 

2. The dog bit him. (AV) 

👉कुत्ते ने उसे काटा। 

He was bitten by the dog. (PV) 

👉उसे कुत्ते के द्वारा काटा गया। 

3. The gardener plucked flowers. (AV)

 👉माली ने फूल तोड़े। 

Flowers were plucked by the gardener. (PV) 

👉फूल माली के द्वारा तोड़े गए। 

4. His father called me. (AV)  

👉उसके पिताजी ने मुझे बुलाया। 

I was called by his father. (PV) 

👉मुझे उसके पिताजी के द्वारा बुलाया गया। 

Rule no. 3. Future indefinite tense

Identification ➡ will/ shall + 1st form

H.V ( in passive voice) ➡ will be/ shall be

👉 { new subject + will be/ shall be + 3rd form + by + new object }

Examples:-

AV➡ I shall beat you. 

मैं तुम्हें पीटूंगा। 

PV ➡ You will be beaten by me. 

 तुम मेरे द्वारा पीटे जाओगे या तुम मुझ से मार खाओगे। 

AV➡ They will buy this book. 

वे इस किताब को खरीदेंगे। 

PV ➡ This book will be bought by them. 

यह किताब उनके द्वारा खरीदी जाएगी। 

AV➡ This boy will answer the questions. 

 यह लड़का प्रश्नों के उत्तर देगा। 

PV➡ The questions will be answered by this boy. 

 प्रश्नों के उत्तर इस लड़के के द्वारा दिए जाएंगे। 

AV➡ The mother will cook food. 

माताजी भोजन पकाएंगी। 

PV➡ Food will be cooked by the mother. 

 भोजन माता जी के द्वारा पकाया जाएगा। 

Rule no. 4. Present Continuous Tense

Identification ➡ is/ am / are + ing form

H.V ( in passive voice) ➡ is/ am/ are + being

👉 { new subject + is/ am/ are + being + 3rd form + by + Object }

Examples:-

AV➡ I am eating mangoes. 

मैं आम खा रहा हूं। 

PV ➡ Mangoes are being eaten by me. 

 आम मेरे द्वारा खाए जा रहे हैं। 

AV ➡ He is teaching me. 

वह मुझे पढ़ा रहा है। 

PV ➡ I am being taught by him. 

मैं उसके द्वारा पढ़ाया जा रहा हूं। 

AV ➡ They are taking breakfast. 

वे नाश्ता कर रहे हैं। 

PV➡ Breakfast is being taken by them. 

नाश्ता उनके द्वारा किया जा रहा है। 

AV ➡ We are drinking milk. 

हम दूध पी रहे हैं। 

PV ➡ Milk is being drunk by us. 

 दूध हमारे द्वारा पिया जा रहा है। 

Rule no. 5. Past Continuous Tense

Identification➡ was/ were + ing form

H. V ( in passive voice) ➡ was/ were + being

👉 { new subject + was / we're + being + 3rd form + object }

Examples:-

AV ➡ He was flying a kite. 

वह पतंग उड़ा रहा था। 

PV ➡ A kite was flown by him. 

पतंग उसके द्वारा उड़ाई जा रही थी। 

AV ➡ You were abusing him. 

 तुम उसे गाली दे रहे थे। 

PV ➡ He was being abused by you. 

उसे तुम्हारे द्वारा गाली दी जा रही थी। 

AV ➡ They were beating a dog. 

वे कुत्ते को पीट रहे थे। 

PV ➡ A dog was being beaten by them. 

 कुत्ता उनके द्वारा पीटा जा रहा था। 

AV ➡ Boys were playing chess. 

लड़के शतरंज खेल रहे थे। 

PV ➡ Chess was being played by boys. 

शतरंज लड़कों के द्वारा खेला जा रहा था। 

Note:- Future Continuous Tense की passive नहीं बनती है। 

Rule no. 6. Present Perfect Tense

Identification➡ has/ have + 3rd form

H. V ➡ has been/ have been

👉 { new subject + has been/ have been + 3rd form + by + object }

Examples:- 

AV ➡ I have washed my clothes.

  मैंने अपने कपड़े धो लिए हैं। 

PV ➡ My clothes have been washed by me. 

 मेरे कपड़े मेरे द्वारा दो लिए गए हैं। 

AV ➡ He has slapped me. 

उसने मुझे थप्पड़ मारा है। 

PV ➡ I have been slapped by him. 

मुझे उसके द्वारा थप्पड़ मारा गया है। 

AV ➡ These girls have made a noise. 

इन लड़कियों ने शोर मचाया है। 

PV ➡ A noise has been made by these girls. 

  शोर इन लड़कियों के द्वारा मचाया गया है। 

AV ➡ Those boys have finished their work. 

उन लड़कों ने अपना कार्य समाप्त कर लिया है। 

PV ➡ Their work has been finished by those boys. 

उनका कार्य उन लड़कों द्वारा समाप्त कर लिया गया है। 

Rule no. 7. Past Perfect Tense 

Identification➡ had + 3rd form

H.V ➡ had been

👉 { new subject + had been + 3rd form + by + new object }

Examples:-

AV ➡ They had done their work. 

उन्होंने अपना कार्य कर लिया था। 

PV ➡ Their work had been done by them. 

उनका कार्य उनके द्वारा कर लिया गया था। 

AV ➡The players had  won the match. 

 खिलाड़ियों ने मैच जीत लिया था। 

PV➡ The match had been won by the players. 

 मैच खिलाड़ियों के द्वारा जीत लिया गया था। 

AV ➡ The children had eaten all the cakes before the party began. 

पार्टी शुरू होने से पहले बच्चों ने सारे केक खा डाले थे। 

Note:- इस वाक्य में दो वाक्य दिए गए हैं। ऐसी स्थिति में पहले वाले वाक्य ( past perfect tense) की passive voice बनाते हैं और last वाले sentence ( before + sentence) को उसके बाद लिख देते हैं। 

PV ➡ All the cakes had been eaten by the children before the party began. 

  पार्टी शुरू होने से पहले सारे केक बच्चों के द्वारा खा लिए गए थे। 

AV ➡ I had completed my homework before you called. 

 तुम्हारे फोन करने से पहले मैंने अपना ग्रह कार्य पूरा कर लिया था। 

PV ➡ My homework had been completed by me before you called. 

 तुम्हारे फोन करने से पहले मेरा गृह कार्य मेरे द्वारा पूरा कर लिया गया था। 

Rule no. 8. Future Perfect Tense

Identification➡ will have/ shall have + 3rd form

H. V ( in passive voice) ➡ will have been/ shall have been 

👉 { new subject + will have been/ shall have been + 3rd form + by + new object }

Examples :-

 AV ➡ The police will have caught the terrorist. 

 पुलिस आतंकवादी को पकड़ चुकी होगी। 

PV ➡ The terrorist Will have been caught by the police. 

 आतंकवादी पुलिस के द्वारा पकड़ा जा चुका होगा। 

AV ➡ The shopkeeper will have closed the shop by ten O' clock. 

दुकानदार 10:00 बजे तक दुकान बंद कर चुका होगा। 

PV ➡ The shop will have been closed by the shopkeeper by ten O' clock. 

 दुकान 10:00 बजे तक दुकानदार के द्वारा बंद की जा चुकी होगी। 

Note :- यदि समय से संबंधित कोई शब्द आता है तो passive voice बनाने के बाद उस शब्द को लिख देते हैं अर्थात समय से संबंधित शब्दों को वाक्य में सबसे last में लिखा जाता है। 

AV ➡ The Central government will have electrified five thousand villages by the end of next year. 

केंद्र सरकार अगले वर्ष के अंत तक 5000 गांवों को बिजली पहुंचा चुकी होगी। 

PV ➡ Five thousand villages will have been electrified by the central government by the end of next year. 

 5000 गांवों को अगले वर्ष के अंत तक केंद्र सरकार के द्वारा बिजली पहुंचाई जा चुकी होगी। 

 फ्रेंड्स आज की पोस्ट में इतना ही तथा आगे की post में हम इसके आगे के नियमों को अच्छी तरह से पढ़ेंगे तथा अंत में हम सभी नियमों की एक shortcut trick आप तक पहुंचाएंगे जिसके द्वारा आप बहुत ही आसानी से active voice के वाक्यों को passive voice में 

बदल सकते हैं।
